Michael Whelan

Research Scientist

Michael joined the CREST team in January 2007 having previously worked as a laboratory technician in a civil engineering testing and consultancy facility. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Experimental Physics, obtained from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, in 2006.

Michael is currently working on developing an electrophoretic deposition procedure for water borne sol gel coatings. Michael is also actively involved in license support to DIT technology licensees. At the same time he is pursuing a Masters of Philosophy, working on the development of Nano-structured Thin Films for Corrosion Control.

Licence support for 2 Irish companies
