Staff / Students - Rajath Varma (PhD Student)

Rajath graduated with a Masters in Chemistry from Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College affiliated to University of Calicut, Kozhikode, Kerala, India in 2003. Worked as a project fellow in Materials & Mineral Division, Regional Research Laboratory (now NIST), Trivandrum, India (2004-2005). During this period synthesized and characterized various dielectric resonators for telecommunication application. Joined CREST, DIT, Dublin in February 2006. Current research involves development and characterization of different sol-gel coating materials as a potential replacement of carcinogenic chromium coatings for aerospace application.
